Just a reminder that in our day to day life sometimes we forget that what we have here in the USA has a price. This weekend the kids of the
Comal County Sheriffs Posse honored a fallen soldier as he was escorted home. Brandon Lara, only 20, always wanted to be a Marine. Last week, Brandon gave his life for his country while serving in Iraq.
Kirstin is the one holding the American flag. This was especially hard for her because her father is active duty Air Force and it brought a little bit of reality to the risk her father and other military people face when they are deployed. Everyone in the military is family even if you don't know them. Trigger the horse that she is on, is normally a very dancy, prancy type of horse and hates to stand still, but today he was on his very best behavior and stood still with so much pride showing on his face-he knew what he was tasked to do.
Just remember that we are free to do what we do and will remain that way because of people like Brandon who are willing to give all.
