Mustangs are here!

Friday Day 1-
We showed up about lunchtime to get our mustangs. While waiting for our mustang paperwork, Christen picked out a horse that looked like Black Beauty and sure enough it was the horse she was given. The little guys loaded pretty easily and we began making our way back to Oneida from Cross Plains. It was a long drive back but we were pretty impressed with the way the mustangs handled the trek across the mountains. Once at the barn, they easily went into their new stalls and promptly went to munching on hay and enjoying their new surroundings. Christen's Mustang seems pretty skittish while mine seems more trusting and curious. For now, we are letting them settle in while we worry about picking some names for them.
Saturday Day 2-
After some rubbing on his head, I was able to get in the stall and halter my horse without complaint. Christen finally coaxed her mustang over for some petting and then was finally able get into the stall and rub her mustangs head and neck. Still have no official names just a nicknames; for mine "goober" and Christen's "Black" but who knows what were are going to actually call them.
SundayDay3-
Well today, Christen was able to find a few sweet spots on her horse (behind the ear was really nice) and stand next to him in the stall. Mine has become increasingly curious as to who I am and what I am all about my next step will be to try some brushing. . Still no names but I think we have narrowed down the choices...We will keep you posted...no pun intended.
