Robbie, Element sure is looking good. Can't believe that so many trainers are already riding their horses. Everyone is doing an awesome job. Lauren, remember we're on their time. It all seems to come together when the horse is ready for it to, we can't push them to be somewhere where they just aren't ready to be.
Kirstin is progressing nicely with Tuff, but he has become a little to comfortable with everyone. He is starting to use his mouth just a little to much, I know that it is normal yearling behavior to want to put everything in their mouth, but he is trying to put the wrong things in his mouth; hands, elbows, legs, boots if you get my drift. He hasn't bit yet, but...Other than that, the training is going great. Kirstin has him leading, lifting up all four hooves, jumping barrels, stepping up on the little bridge, started some tarp work which was toooo funny especially when nosey little guy thought he would pick up the tarp and try walking away with it. The tarp all of a sudden became a horse eating object and he ran off still holding onto the tarp. Ran half way around the round pen before he figured out that if he dropped the tarp, the tarp quit chasing him.
Keep up the great work everyone and we all love the pictures and updates. Kirstin(with the help of her historian-mom(me/Priscilla) keeps a full running blog at
