Howdy ya'all,

This is day 8 for me. Ergon is coming along great. It's been so hot here in the Rio Grande Valley,

that after I finished training today, I gave him a nice cool bath. He enjoyed it so well he thought a nice mud bath would just make him more beautiful. What a silly horse !! LOL !!

I can ride Ergon now out of the corral. On the first day out of the round pen he was doing great, I rode him away from the other horses about 300ft and then he decided that was IT after 10 minutes and he wanted to go with the other horses. He started pawing and wantin' to run and not cooperating, he bolted, and I dove off. I'm glad my parents didn't see me !! LOL !!

Today I rode him a good 45 minutes and he really is beginning to understand what I want from him. Today I worked on flexibility, cues, commands, bridling and obstacles. What a great day its been for learning.

I continue to learn his little tricks and what they mean. We are becoming a great team !!
