Ideas for Kirsten

Priscilla, first of all thanks for all your kind words! It just occurred to me that since Tuff is picking up on everything so well, maybe Kirsten can do some of the 7 Games that Parelli does. Especially the Yo-Yo Game; getting Tuff to back up when his lead is wiggled, and come forward again when Kirsten reels in the lead. Eventually she might be able to have Tuff so responsive he will back when she wiggles just a finger, and come forward when she runs the lead through her open hands - that is a bit hard for me to describe... She will be pulling the lead towards her, but as Tuff learns she can loosen her grip on the rope more and more so she eventually is not gripping it at all, and Tuff is leading from the friction of the rope along her open palm alone. There is also the Circle Game, which is like lunging; but Kirsten can get Tuff to jump obstacles (small ones, since he's just a yearling) and even continue his circle around Kirsten while she is walking in a strait line. I have found that to be very tough to teach to Hammar, and I haven't even tried yet with Nine.

Those are some suggestions, and if she shows off those skills at the Makeover I'll bet it will really catch the attention of many adopters!
