One week from the day that Kirstin started working with
Tuff. She wants to take
Tuff to her Drill Team practice Friday night, but he hadn't been loaded since our trip from
Pauls Valley. Our one & only stipulation is that he loads relatively easy, so she decided that it was time to work on trailer loading. This was her first attempt at loading
Tuff. He was very curious about the trailer and stepped right on without to much hesitation.

Kirstin then unloaded him and reloaded him 4 different times. Later that evening she did the same thing-loading & unloading him 4 different times. He even backed out for her and she hasn't even taught him to back on cue yet. Tuff is such a sweet horse and he seems to be extremely smart. She has him completely gentled, loves to be touched all over-his favorite spot is his tail bone, he loves to have that scratched. He no longer wears his halter when in his pen, he comes up to Kirstin and stands quietly to be haltered. She also worked on tieing, it didn't take him long before he realized that fighting the rope was pointless.
Looks like Tuff will make his first outing this Friday evening when Kirstin goes to her Drill team practice.
