Welcome, Soso! I couldn't believe your photos and the snow! I'm in Louisiana so we don't usually have to deal with snow... made me shiver! lol Good luck to you in the competition and like Kirstin says, anything you want to know, just ask....someone is bound to have faced the same problem! It's all about the horses!!! and they are wonderful students! Keep us posted and we love lots and lots of pictures!!! We all look forward to watching your progress.

Wow.. I really admire you guys who took two horses. 1 is a big enough job in 100 days, but with this competition we only have 69 days! How are your horses doing?

Welcome, Soso. Your horses are beautiful. Good luck with them. A lot of us here are from the Extreme Makeover 2008 group. I am looking forward to seeing the new competitors for 2009 here & reading about their experience. Everyone in the Makeover group is extremely nice and ever so helpful so if you have any questions, just post and someone is bound to answer. That was the nicest thing about the competition, everyone was there for the horses so no one was afraid to share. Please keep us posted.

Hi! I'm Soso Whaley and this is my first time participating in an Extreme Mustang Makeover. You can tell I'm a glutton for punishment as I've opted to train two horses. They arrived here in New Hampshire during a snow storm but seem to be ok. I've decided to call them Ariel and Zephyr, I took some photos today which you can see above but hope to get some better ones when the weather clears. I wasn't expecting this to be the worst winter in a long while but thanks to a barn owner with an indoor right down the street I am hoping that my training will progress smoothly. I will try to post here occasionally to let you all know how things are going here in New England and I look forward to reading other posts. Best of luck to all the competitors and I look forward to meeting you and your mustangs in April.

Hi everyone. I have not posted in awhile, but I picked up my Gatorland horse over the weekend and she is a beauty! She is from the same HMA as Bu my EMM 2008 horse! I think they are probably siblings! She is black and looks very similar to him. I hope she is as good to train! Thought I would post a pic. I have decided to keep with the greek theme and call her Persephone aka Cora(roman version and easier to say! LOL)

Does anyone know where or if I could get any information about the Wheeler Pass HMA and what the stallion looks like there? Thanks.

Priscilla, it's been great reading all that you have posted on Kirstin's blog! I'm like you, I could watch for hours! We all have our "fuzzy coats" over here and we too had a small bit of snow...(it's been a very long time since we've had snow)and the horses were "what the heck!" but of course it didn't last long, the sun came out and took care of that! I would LOVE to send you our extra rain! We stay so muddy over here, we can't work at all. Ok Priscilla just so you don't think you're the ONLY sucker.....we had adoption in DeRidder, LA in December and my husband took 10 to foster! We have 6 of them placed and only 4 to go!! (Just wanted to make you feel a little better!)
